Мета вивчення дисципліни: Obtaining theoretical and practical knowledge about organizing the rational use of fuels, petroleum oils, plastic lubricants, and technical fluids in road transport.
Завдання: The study of an educational discipline involves the formation of competencies in students of education: – the ability to solve complex specialized tasks and solve practical problems in the field of transport using theories and methods of modern transport science based on a systems approach and taking into account the complexity and uncertainty of the conditions of operation of transport systems; - skills for performing safe activities; - the desire to preserve the environment.
Learning outcomes: 1. Develop, plan, and implement methods for organizing safe activities in the field of transport systems and technologies. 2. Develop and use transport technologies taking into account environmental protection requirements. 3. To study the types and types of transport systems. To find solutions for optimizing the parameters of transport systems. To assess the efficiency of the infrastructure and technology of the functioning of transport systems. 4. To investigate the components of ergonomics of transport technologies. To establish their efficiency and reliability. 5. Recognize qualitative and quantitative indicators of vehicle operation. Evaluate vehicle design elements. Establish relationships between vehicle design elements.

Summary of the subject: The discipline is devoted to obtaining knowledge about the production, rational use and influence of the quality of fuels, lubricants and technical fluids on the operation of motor vehicle engines. The classification and assortment of both domestic and foreign fuels and lubricants, their operational and technical properties and methods of determining their quality are presented. Considerable attention is paid to promising types of fuels and lubricants, saving fuel and energy resources, environmental protection.
Опис: Theme names: 1. Course objectives and content. Brief historical overview of fuel and lubricant production. Raw materials for fuel and lubricant production. Basic properties of petroleum hydrocarbons. Methods of fuel and lubricant production. 2. Fuel for engines with forced ignition. Main operational properties of gasolines. Types of gasoline combustion in the cylinder of an internal combustion engine. Detonation resistance of gasolines: methods of increasing detonation resistance, assessment of anti-knock properties. Physical and chemical stability of gasolines, their definition and standardization. Corrosion properties of gasolines. 3. Fuel for diesel engines. The influence of the physicochemical properties of diesel fuel on its performance. Types and brands of diesel fuels and their characteristics. Classification of diesel fuels. 4. Gaseous fuel for internal combustion engines. Compressed and liquefied gases, their varieties and indicators that characterize quality. Alternative motor fuels. 5. Oils for lubrication of internal combustion engines and transmissions. Operational properties of lubricating oils. The process of varnish formation and carbon formation, the formation of low-temperature deposits in oil. Corrosive effect of oils, detergent properties of oils, additives to motor oils. Domestic and international classifications of motor oils. Transmission oils and their characteristics. Synthetic and vegetable oils for internal combustion engines. Regeneration of used oils. 6. Plastic lubricants. Composition and structure of plastic greases, features of their application. Antifriction, preservative and sealing greases. International classifications of greases. 7. Technical fluids. Engine cooling system fluids. Basic properties of coolants and rules for their use. Fluids for hydraulic drives and shock absorbers, their composition, performance characteristics and quality indicators. 8. Measures to save fuels and lubricants. Methods of recycling and processing of waste petroleum products.
Assessment methods and criteria: 1. Laboratory works - defense in written and oral form. 2. Control work - verification of the correctness of the decisions made. 3. Theoretical course materials – written component.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Assessment of students' knowledge in the discipline "Operational Materials" is carried out in accordance with the working curriculum in the form of current control: - Completion and defense of laboratory work – 30 points; - Completion of the test – 15 points; - Test control of the discipline materials – 55 points
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100-88 points - certified with an “excellent” grade - High level: the student demonstrates an in-depth mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline, systematic knowledge, skills and abilities of their practical application. The mastered knowledge, skills and abilities provide the ability to independently formulate goals and organize learning activities, search and find solutions in non-standard, atypical educational and professional situations. The applicant demonstrates the ability to make generalizations based on critical analysis of factual material, ideas, theories and concepts, to formulate conclusions based on them. His/her activity is based on interest and motivation for self-development, continuous professional development, independent research activities, implemented with the support and guidance of the teacher. 87-71 points - certified with a grade of “good” - Sufficient level: involves mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline at an advanced level, conscious use of knowledge, skills and abilities to reveal the essence of the issue. Possession of a partially structured set of knowledge provides the ability to apply it in familiar educational and professional situations. Aware of the specifics of tasks and learning situations, the student demonstrates the ability to search for and choose their solution according to the given sample, to argue for the use of a particular method of solving the problem. Their activities are based on interest and motivation for self-development and continuous professional development. 70-50 points - certified with a grade of “satisfactory” - Satisfactory level: outlines the mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline at the average level, partial awareness of educational and professional tasks, problems and situations, knowledge of ways to solve typical problems and tasks. The applicant demonstrates an average level of skills and abilities to apply knowledge in practice, and solving problems requires assistance, support from a model. The basis of learning activities is situational and heuristic, dominated by motives of duty, unconscious use of opportunities for self-development. 49-00 points - certified with a grade of “unsatisfactory” - Unsatisfactory level: indicates an elementary mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline, a general understanding of the content of the educational material, partial use of knowledge, skills and abilities. The basis of learning activities is situational and pragmatic interest.
