Characteristics of the educational program: The educational and professional program is based on well-established principles and the results of contemporary scientific research in the fields of information control systems and technologies, computational intelligence, and smart systems.
The main focus of the program is the study and development of methods and tools for the intellectualization of information control systems and technologies.

The program includes two specialization tracks:
Track 1. Intelligent control technologies.
This track focuses on mastering and advancing promising areas of information systems and control technologies through the use of modern tools for system intellectualization, network-based solutions, and hardware components.
Track 2. Smart systems and technologies.
This track focuses on an in-depth study of smart systems and technologies, ensuring the effective functioning and management of smart systems, and improving existing control technologies.

Have specialized conceptual knowledge, including modern scientific achievements in the field of computer science, which serve as a basis for original thinking and conducting research, as well as critically understanding problems within computer science and at the intersection of various fields of knowledge.
LO2. Possess specialized skills in solving problems in computer science, necessary for conducting research and/or engaging in innovative activities aimed at developing new knowledge and procedures.
LO3. Clearly and unambiguously communicate one’s knowledge, conclusions, and reasoning in the field of computer science to both professionals and non-professionals, including learners.
LO4. Manage work processes in the field of information technologies that are complex, unpredictable, and require new strategic approaches.
LO5. Evaluate the performance of teams and groups in the field of information technologies, ensuring the effectiveness of their activities.
LO6. Develop a conceptual model of an information or computer system.
LO7. Develop and apply mathematical methods for the analysis of information models.
LO8. Develop mathematical models and methods for data analysis (including big data).
LO9. Develop algorithmic and software solutions for data analysis (including big data).
LO10. Design architectural solutions for information and computer systems of various purposes.
LO11. Create new algorithms for solving problems in the field of computer science, evaluating their effectiveness and limitations.
LO12. Design and maintain databases and knowledge bases.
LO13. Assess and ensure the quality of information and computer systems for various purposes.

LO17. Identify and resolve issues in the software operation process, formulate tasks for software modification or re-engineering.

LO19. Analyze the current state and global trends in the development of computer science and information technologies.
LO20. Apply modern computational intelligence technologies in the development of information control systems and smart systems.
LO21. Develop problem-oriented and embedded systems for implementing intelligent control technologies.
LO22. Develop and implement network projects for information control systems, taking into account data protection.
Track 1: Intelligent control technologies.
LO1.1. Develop integrated control systems and their components, implement, deploy, and maintain integrated control systems in various domains.
LO1.2. Develop and analyze models of information control systems and models of complex systems for different domains, conduct research and optimization, and use simulation when implementing intelligent control technologies.
LO1.3. Utilize industrial Internet of Things (IoT) technologies when developing intelligent control systems and ensure the protection of personal data in such systems.
Track 2: Smart systems and technologies.
LO2.1. Analyze problems and tasks in the field of smart systems management, perform decomposition, formulate requirements, and select, improve, and develop effective innovative technologies (smart technologies).
LO2.2. Develop signal and image processing systems and their components, integrating the developed solutions into smart systems and intelligent control systems projects.
LO2.3. Create computer vision systems and their components, ensure the efficient operation of smart systems by implementing computer vision systems, and modernize existing control technologies.
Academic mobility: Based on bilateral agreements between Lviv Polytechnic National University and higher educational institutions of foreign partner countries.
