Abstract: The master’s qualification work conducted a comprehensive study of methods for thermographic diagnostics of technical systems and an analysis of the possibilities of their application in industrial conditions. The physical foundations of thermal processes, the principles of infrared thermography and the features of thermographic image formation were considered. Modern methods of their processing were analyzed, including context-free and context-sensitive transformations, segmentation, computer analysis and pattern recognition algorithms. Particular attention was paid to the methods of passive and active thermography, their comparison, determination of the areas of effective application, error factors and requirements for measurement accuracy. Based on the collected material, a coordinated methodology for thermographic monitoring and approaches to the diagnostics of technical objects in the modes of one-time, cyclic and continuous control were formed. The work also developed a feasibility study for an industrial IR camera 320?240 as a design product, and calculated the cost, a comprehensive indicator of quality and economic efficiency. The results obtained confirm the feasibility of using thermographic technologies in monitoring the technical condition of equipment.
